Our GrACE Stakeholders work together to ensure we are emboldened to advocate for Catholic Education that is vibrant and inspiring.
Leadership: The Bishops guide Catholic communities and emphasize spiritual education for youth.
Role: They ensure that Catholic teachings are deeply integrated into students' education, reinforcing the faith’s values.
Representation: The Alberta Catholic School Trustees Association (ACSTA) represents 24 member boards overseeing 183,500 students in 450 Catholic schools across Alberta.
Contribution: ACSTA ensures the Alberta Curriculum is taught through a Catholic lens, supporting students’ spiritual, academic, and physical development.
Oversight: Manage 18 Catholic School Boards, ensuring high educational standards within the Catholic faith framework.
Local GrACE Committees: Each board has a local GrACE Committee focused on communication and advocacy, vital for maintaining community support.
Purpose: Established in every Catholic School District, local GrACE committees celebrate, advocate, and communicate the value of Catholic education. They also engage parishes to support Catholic education beyond school.
Involvement: Everyone—parents, parishioners, teachers, or community members—is encouraged to join. These grassroots groups are essential for ensuring a strong, unified voice for Catholic education.
